The route starts from the chapel of the Prophet Elias Agios Georgios Nilias, where there is a fountain. To go there we take the asphalt to the monastery of Taxiarches and at the entrance of the monastery we go right on a cement-dirt road (passable and by car) that brings us to the Prophet Elias. One can also go by a path from the village square turning left to Agios Athanasios. It is a dirt road to Kremmida. The route moves mostly on guides or freely in the forest without a path, and has inaccessible points on steep slopes that need attention. This is why inexperienced climbers is recommended to avoid it and definitely not to attempt under adverse conditions with snow or rain, as then the risk of accident is high. However, for these difficulties it rewards us with points of great natural beauty, culminating in the fantastic balcony of Aetofolia that overlooks the large verdant ravine of Koufala. There is a sign with red signs, however it is not complete and needs attention at some intersections, so it is recommended to have GPS with us.
