We climb from Abovos beach of Afissos to the village of Niaou (Afetes) walking in the shadow of a cool dry riverbed (an exciting and fairly demanding walk, not recommended on rainy days). We can stop at the village square for a drink and then come back following the course of the old main cobblestone kalderimi (a part of which is now covered by asphalt), passing from an arched stone bridge and the cemetery of Niaou, enjoying spectacular views to the sea. Start from Marabou restaurant walking on the cement road away from the sea.
