The House with the Rose
"House with the Rose" is the home where the painter Chrysoula Zogia lived and created most of her masterpieces.
The house is located on the intersection of Vlachava and Anthimou Gazi streets, and was bequeathed to the Municipality of Volos in 1992, after her death. It is considered a landmark due to its unique red exterior and architectural style, characteristic of the area of Pelion.
The Gallery contains about 250 paintings, ink and pencil drawings, miniatures and painted bottles, while the exterior and interior murals of the house are nothing short of impressive. The owner's paintings, furniture, objects and personal belongings, left in the place where she put them before she died, bear witness to her quaint personality.
On the ground floor of the building there is an area that can host cultural events and exhibitions. To book visits to the Gallery - Chrysoula Zogia Museum and to submit proposals for events on the ground floor of the exhibition, contact the Municipal History and Documentation Center of Volos: 24210 39644 and 24210 21664.
