The Giorgio de Quirico Art Center
The Giorgio de Quirico Art Center is named after the Italian painter Giorgio de Quirico (1888-1978) who was born in Volos .
The ground floor and the mezzanine house official periodical exhibitions, as well as individual and group exhibitions by various artists, while the first, second and third floors of the building house the collection of "AL. K. Damtsa Museum", which includes the donation of the collector A. Damtsa to the Municipality of Volos. The permanent exhibition consists of 350 pieces such as engravings, maps and documents about the region by well-known Greek artists from Volos, Magnesia and Thessaly. Most of the collection includes works of Greek painters from the late 19th to the early 20th century.
