Transportation
Volos is located in the center of Greece and is easily reached, via the Athens -Thessaloniki motorway (Ε75), by car. If you prefer public transport, you can get there by train or coach from many cities in Greece.
Volos also has a port with frequent ferry service connecting it to the islands of Sporades, Evia and the county of Fthiotida. It also receives cruise ships from major tourist destinations. In 1991 the region also acquired an airport which operates direct flights to major destinations such as London, Amsterdam, Vienna, Paris, etc.

Ιn Pelion
Getting around in Pelion and the whole Magnesia county, for those who do not have their own vehicle, is mainly achieved by means of the Intercity Coach Service of Volos.
Taxis: Pelion has many villages, most of which do not have a taxi, as is the case with many other tourist destinations in Greece. You will find taxis mainly in the central villages of Pelion, where there are some taxi drivers that will take you to nearby destinations.
