We are talking about the ornament of the beach with theater specifications, comfortable and many seats, etc. Continuing our walk on the beach we find another winter KRONO, also an old cinema with the perfumes during the breaks, and the famous gallery with 2 drachmas ticket then, while our next stop is in a historical cinema from 1928 until today winter cinema ACHILLEIO which since 1998 changed its structure with the new technology, making two rooms and a cafeteria. Our walk continues and the next cinemas show charmingly in our eyes, TITANIA & REX a twin film production with a pre-war history. We pass on the other side of the beach and here we will find the second cinema that has been operating since 1930, summer and preserved, elegant & haughty, in the best part of the city.

1928

It was the summer of 1930, somewhere in the city center and near the picturesque beach, the first summer cinema of Volos is founded. It was the second after the beginning of the then Achillion from 1928, next to the mantra of Fanis.

1930-1955

The screenings continued with great success, every day the cinema was full especially in the evening screening. In a very short time other cinemas began to mushroom, it was you see it was fashionable at that time. Next to the LANDSCAPE opposite and a little further down on the beach, the "THETIS" cinema, "KYMATA", "ORFEAS" and "REX" made their appearance. At the beginning of the 10 years of '60, Volos had 38 Cinemas. During the war of 1940 and during the earthquake of 1955, the Sarafopoulos mansion suffered great damage, later the space was rebuilt but lost part of its original form, and continued to exist as a summer cinema until today.

1980-1990

THE LANDSCAPE from time to time hosted great names of the artistic and intellectual world, names of the theater who wrote their own history. Like Anna & Maria Kalouta, Speranza Vrana, Rena Dor, Petros Kyriakos, George Economides and many others. THE LANDSCAPE endured the turmoil of television and video while all other cinemas surrendered unconditionally to the construction of apartment buildings and food markets. In 1994, at the suggestion of the Municipality of Volos, the Prefecture of Magnesia and the 5^th Tax Office of Modern Monuments, in a letter to the Ministry of Culture, the Landscaping was unanimously considered a PRESERVED BUILDING as a reference point of the city.

2000-today

THE LANDSCAPE has shown and continues to show films, alongside the other big cities, always selected and of high quality. Generations of stars passed by her screen, millions of spectators passed by her seats, the time passing by her left a unique atmosphere of timeless elegance. Today, over 80 years later, "LANDSCAPE" continues to offer you Unique Cinema Nights.
